How We Generate Revenue
The Texas Business Loan Registry generates revenue through Sponsored listing placements. Lenders may pay for enhanced visibility within the directory — appearing in promoted positions in search results, category pages, and metro pages. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled with a Sponsored badge wherever they appear.
We do not receive referral fees, lead fees, or commissions when a borrower contacts a lender listed in this directory. We do not have affiliate relationships with any lender in the directory. The Get Matched intake form is a free service — we do not receive compensation when a borrower submits a request or makes contact with a lender based on a referral from this site.
What Sponsorship Does and Does Not Affect
Sponsorship affects placement within the directory — Sponsored listings appear in promoted positions. Sponsorship does not affect:
- The editorial content of a lender's profile
- The lender's verification status
- Whether the lender appears in the directory at all (non-Sponsored lenders are listed on editorial merit)
- How other lenders are described, categorized, or ranked
A Sponsored lender must still pass all five checks in The Registry Standard. Sponsorship is not available to lenders that do not meet the listing criteria.
Sponsored Label
Every paid placement carries a visible Sponsored label. This label appears:
- On the lender's profile page
- On every lender card in search results, category listings, and metro listings where the lender appears in a promoted position
The Sponsored label is always visible — it is never hidden, collapsed, or displayed in a way that requires user action to see it.
Free Listings
Lenders that meet The Registry Standard are listed in the directory at no charge. Listing is based on editorial criteria only. A lender that does not pay for a Sponsored placement is listed and displayed identically to any other non-Sponsored lender in the directory.
No Endorsement
Appearing in this directory — whether as a free listing or a Sponsored placement — is not an endorsement of the lender, its products, or its services by the Texas Business Loan Registry. The Registry is an editorial directory that lists lenders based on verifiable public information. We make no representation about the quality, suitability, or competitiveness of any lender's products.
