How We Verify Listings
Last reviewed: August 2026
The Registry Standard is a five-point source-verification rule. Every lender in this directory passes all five checks before publication. Checks are repeated at least every 180 days. Listings that fail any check are marked Unverified or removed.
The Five Checks
Verified operating website
We confirm that the lender has an active website with current financing content. A domain registration, a social media profile, or a placeholder page does not satisfy this check. The website must contain substantive information about the lender's products, at minimum identifying the types of financing offered.
Published financing parameters traceable to a named source
Every financing parameter stored in a lender profile — minimum and maximum deal size, time-in-business minimum, annual revenue minimum, collateral types — must be explicitly stated in a publicly accessible source. We record the source URL for each parameter. If the parameter is not explicitly stated, we leave the field blank.
Confirmed Texas coverage
We confirm that the lender explicitly states Texas coverage in their own materials — website, press releases, SBA program registration, or other public sources. A lender with a national presence is not assumed to cover Texas unless Texas is specifically confirmed. Coverage type is recorded as Statewide, Regional, or Metro-Specific.
Documented company type
We assign each lender one of five company types based on publicly available information about how they operate: Bank (federally or state-chartered bank), Non-Bank Lender (licensed commercial lender, not a bank), Broker (originator that places loans with other lenders rather than funding them directly), Fund (investment fund or private credit fund making direct loans), or Lessor (equipment lessor — retains ownership of financed assets).
Verification date within 180 days
Each listing is reviewed against its source record at least every 180 days. The last-verified date is displayed on every lender profile. Listings that exceed 180 days without re-verification are reviewed before continuing publication. If the parameters cannot be confirmed on re-verification, the listing is marked Unverified or removed.
What Verification Is Not
Verification is a source-checking process, not a quality assessment. A lender that passes The Registry Standard has publicly stated parameters that we have confirmed against a named source. Verification does not mean:
- The lender is recommended by this directory
- The lender will fund your specific deal
- The published parameters are guaranteed to match current underwriting criteria
- The lender has been reviewed, audited, or assessed for quality of service
Before entering into any lending arrangement, confirm current terms directly with the lender and consult appropriate legal and financial advisors.
Reporting Errors
If you find an error in a lender profile — an outdated parameter, an inactive website, or any other factual inaccuracy — report it through the contact form. We review every report against the source record and update or correct the profile within five business days. Verified corrections are reflected in the last-verified date on the profile.
Claimed Profiles
A lender may claim their profile by contacting us and verifying ownership of the company. Claimed profiles allow the lender to update their own information, add contact details, and correct errors. All claimed profile updates are subject to editorial review against the same sourcing standards as the original listing. Claimed status is displayed on the profile but does not affect search placement or verification status.
